Questions About Filling It Out

Do my customers need an account?

No. They open the link, fill it out, and submit. Only you need an account, to build the forms and see the submissions.

What if someone stops partway through?

Then the submission isn't sent and doesn't show up for you. There's currently no way to save progress and continue later — that's one reason to keep the form short or build it as a funnel.

Where is the data stored?

In your asksteps installation's database, along with any uploaded attachments. The filled-out PDF itself isn't stored — it's generated at download time.

Can I get a notification?

Yes, an email is sent whenever there's a new submission.

Does the form look like my company's?

Yes. You set the colors, shapes, and typography; from the Starter plan onward, you can remove the asksteps branding.
