A grid instead of an endless list
Rows and columns keep related fields together: first and last name side by side instead of scattered one below the other.
Forms
A single contact field isn't enough, and a dialogue with twenty separate questions is too much ground to cover for a simple sign-up. A form in asksteps shows several fields per step, arranged in a grid of rows and columns. You decide what sits side by side and what gets its own step.
Creating an account is free, with one funnel in the free quota, which also covers forms. Starter includes three, Professional 15, Business unlimited.
A form consists of one or more steps. Long forms get split into manageable sections this way, each with its own progress indicator.
Within a step you arrange elements in a grid: first and last name side by side in one row, the address below spanning the full width. You drag each element into place.
Text, choice and contact fields, file upload, and an on-screen signature. The form builder also includes an element for custom HTML and CSS if you need to embed something of your own.
In the theme editor you choose colors, fonts and shapes, or one of the 13 built-in themes. Publish it through a profile page, an embedded HTML line, the WordPress plugin, a subdomain, or your own domain.
Form Builder
Drag elements from the palette onto the canvas, arrange them in rows and columns, spread them across several steps. Required fields are checked per step. Anyone who forgets something finds out right away, not after submitting.
Inbox
Submissions with a processing status and a note, free-text search, uploaded attachments, and the completed PDF to download. For spreadsheets, there's a CSV export.

Split a long form across several steps with a visible progress indicator, instead of building one long page to scroll through.
The signature element is included in every plan, even the free one. Draw it with a finger or a mouse.
Proof documents, photos, or files are uploaded directly inside the form, as its own element in the grid.
The form builder includes an element for custom HTML and CSS: for notices, embedded content, or layout that goes beyond the standard elements.
Every submitted entry lands in the studio's inbox and can be exported as CSV in a format German spreadsheet programs read correctly.
A form shows several fields per step in a grid of rows and columns, and everyone follows the same path. A funnel shows one question per step and branches by answer. You build both in the same studio.
No. In a form, every field created for a step is visible to everyone. If the path forward needs to depend on an answer, that's the job of the funnel, which branches at the question level.
There's no fixed upper limit. For usability's sake, it's worth splitting a form into manageable steps rather than packing everything into a single one.
Yes, through the theme editor with colors, fonts and shapes, plus 13 built-in themes. From Starter upward you can remove the "Powered by asksteps" note, and use your own domain.
Forms share the same quota as funnels: one in the free account, three in Starter, 15 in Professional, unlimited in Business. During the 14-day trial the full Professional scope applies; the trial is activated in your account and then moves to the Starter plan.
